Application Information
When applying for a Postgraduate degree in the School of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering, there are a few things that you should bear in mind.
- If you are applying for a Research degree, you should contact the academic staff with whom you would like to work with and act as your supervisor, and decide upon a suitable research project. If there's a particular research area or member of staff that you are keen to work with, please mention this when you forward your details. This is not neccessary if you are applying for a postgraduate coursework degree, i.e., Master of Engineering (ME).
- If you won't know the results of your first degree by the application closing date, this should not stop you from submitting an application. Just ensure that you forward your results as soon as they are known.
- If your ability to study at the University is dependent upon you securing scholarship funding, especially from sources outside of this university, you might be wise to await the positive outcome of such scholarship applications before submitting your formal application for admission.
Important Note: Research Scholarship applications for local students are separate from local student admission applications. So if you are applying for a scholarship, please ensure that you also submit a separate application to the Research Office for admission to the degree.
