Postgraduate Committee

The postgraduate committee is responsible for organising various activities to stimulate the interaction between postgraduate students and academics within the school.

Members

Postgraduate Representative:
John Nowakowski Room PNR 340

- Attends School of Chemical & Biomolecular board meetings and Foundation meetings on behalf of all of us. Talk to or email John if you have any issues that you wish raised or have any suggestions for improving the learning facilities.

All Faculty issues can be passed along to our Faculty Representative, , who will bring them up at the Faculty Meetings.

Seminar Organisers:

- Schedules and arranges visiting seminars (including yummy food)
- Helps set-up seminars and introduce speakers
Talk to Andrew or Catharine if you would like to arrange a visiting speaker (all suggestions welcome)

Library Representative:
Rajhvandra Gupta - Room 413 email
- Attends the engineering faculty library commitee
- Can pass on student enquiries about book/journal purchases
- Talk to Ragh if you would like to suggest the purchase of a library resource (long-term only; for urgent items contact the library directly)

Tutoring Assistant:
Christopher Hicks - Room PNR 340 emal:
- Works with the tutoring co-ordinator, Dr Howard See.
- Conducts survey of tutors and provides feedback to the school
- Talk to Chris if you have any problems with your tutoring that connot be resolved with your lecturer (e.g advice on handling students)

Analytical Assistant:
Md. Imtiaz-Ul-Islam - Room 423 email:
- Provides support to Jeffrey in the analytical laab on common equipment (bud does not train students)
- Helps to provide useful quick start manuals and frequent user lists
- Talk to Imtiaz if you need to know who to go to for advice on a paticular piece of equipment
