The Master of Engineering Studies (MES)

The MES degrees offer a program of formal coursework, which may be supplemented by limited research projects. All candidates must complete 48 credit points and for International Students, the course lasts for 1 year (2 semesters). Interested students who successfully complete this degree may opt to further their study into the research areas by applying for the Master of Engineering in Research (MER).

MES students are also able to enrol in postgraduate units of study offered by other Schools within the Faculty of Engineering. There are certain core requirements, such as selecting at least 24 credit points from units of study offered by the School of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering.

Admission

 

Entry requires the four year Bachelor of Engineering degree from the University of Sydney, or an equivalent qualification from another tertiary institution. You can find out about application procedures and the documents that you will need to supply on the application page.


Fees and costs

 


Please note that for this courses, fees are required for both local and international students.

Local students may wish to find out more about the Fee Help Scheme that offers loans to assist with the payment of such fees.
