High School Students
Summer Workshops in 8th and 9th December 2009
As the field of engineering continues to evolve, the School has a range of activities to give you a taste of what it's like to study in our degrees - Chemical & Biomolecular Engineering, and Combined degrees in Arts, Commerce, Law, Medical Science and Science.
Are you good at Chemistry and Mathematics? Enjoy English and Physics? Find Biology to be a whirl? Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering at The University of Sydney combine all of these into a world-recognised degree that can take you places and opens doors to a wide range of career paths.
We hold workshops for Year 10, 11 and 12 students annually, with a tour of the school, some demonstrations, and hands-on experience. Past projects have included moving water uphill under its own force, designing water desalination plants, and the ChemE Car Challenge - powering a car with Hydrogen. This year, experience the magic of fluidised beds, mentos fountains, beer brewing, and icecream making, all with simple Chemical Engineering techniques.
The workshop is a half day event with 2 days to choose from, 8 or 9 December, 2009 with lunch provided during the session.
Register for this workshop and be entered into the chance to WIN FREE MOVIE TICKETS! For further information or to apply, please contact or phone (02) 9351 5019.
